Tarin Fish Farm – Paddy cultivation Overview
Paddy crops are major occupation in Ziro. Here, two different varieties of rice are grown with only one variety of fish in the water.
Bamboo and Pine trees surround the paddy fields. Each component of this cultivation plays a distinct role – just like in coffee plantations.
Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary Overview
This 337 sq. km. sanctuary is home to a wide and exotic variety of flora and fauna. The endangered clouded leopards are also found here. The sanctuary has a variety of flora which includes silver fir trees, ferns, orchids, bamboo and rhododendron. A pleasant place for people seeking greenry.
Kile Pakho Overview
This place displays a pleasant view, as the viewers get a unique and breathtaking view on both sides. The Ziro plateau on one side and the snowy hills of Himalayas on the other. Which makes it more pleasing for eyes.
Shiv Linga Overview
The lower Subansiri District is located 1500 metres above the sea level, Ziro is 167 Km from Itanagar. This Shiv Linga is self originated, bloomed out of nowhere, having Sfatic as garland naturally which is 25 feet in length and 22 feet in width.
Ziro, is a town in Arunachal Pradesh also known as Apatani plateau located at an altitude of 5754 ft. above the sea level. There exist the world’s largest Shivling which has been discovered not so long ago by the locals of the state. Ziro is situated at high level. This destination is perfect for taking pictures of scenic natural view with flowing rivers of Subansiri, Apatani, Nishi, Dafla and Miri. It is also an ideal place for adventure junkie as the place have trekking , hiking and camping also.
Meghna Cave Temple Overview
This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located close to Ziro. The 10 minutes climb up to the stairs is completely worth it. The view and scenery will blow your mind when you will reach to this 5000 year old temple at 3000 feet above sea level.
The carvings are magnificent and the architecture great. Truly an amazing part of journey when you visit this temple.
Pine Grove Overview
Pine Grove is located just 3km away from Ziro. This place is an excellent picnic spot with an amazing view. And you can say it is an add on to your visit to zero, if you are visiting with family and seeking good place to relax after the hectic journey.
Dolo Mando – Trekking Overview
It is One of the famous attractions of Ziro, travellers trek to the top of this hill to enjoy the view of the Hapoli town and old Ziro. This hillock is situated on the western side of Ziro on the Daporijo Road. And this place is easy to reach.
How to reach Ziro ?
Tezpur airport is the closest airport and it is 280 km from Ziro. The place itself does not have an airport nor a railway station.
Ziro only have a bus station and local transport is available to roam the local units of this beautiful town.
